1.Grind with sandpaper

If the mats'water-absorption reduced and the color looked dark, that means there is a thin oil layer on the surface. Use no.400 sandpaper to remove the surface stain, once the mini porous of diatomite is opened, the mats can reuse again.

2.Wipe with wet cloth

If the mats get dirty, use wet cloth to remove the small stain. If the stain is big, sandpaper will be the easy way to remove it.。

3.Clean with Diluted Bleach Liquid

Diatomite Products always be placed in humid environment to absorb the excess water/moisture and deodorize. If the diatomite products are placed in unventilated environments, they may cause mold. Then, clean diatomite products by spraying or soaking with diluted bleach liquid or alcohol. After 12 hours, the mats become new again.

4.Keep it ventilated

If you found that your diatomite mats water-absorption reduced, it means the mat you bought may be the one cannot release moisture. It absorbs too much water and may cause mold after a long-term use. In this situation, MBM suggest you to place the mat in ventilated place to thoroughly dry out. It may take 7-10 days in summer and 3-4 days in winter, the user can adjust by their living environment.
